Among the Briars: Integrative Tools for Navigating Persistent Stress

Overwhelm, burnout, empathetic fatigue, complacency, and anxiety - are all symptoms of energetic imbalance. Where we place our energy and how we hold those emotions creates tension and laxity. When we can skillfully move our energy and our level of tension between various internal and external events, we attain poise in the moment. We want the capacity to maintain that poise in motion, moving through our days, whatever may come, with clarity and open-heartedness. I’ve developed a unique approach to energetic balancing using the elements of mindfulness and the concept of healing presence.
In this workshop, participants focus on the process of supporting their hearts, strengthening their skills for presence, and learning new tools to address stress and overwhelm. Developing these skills makes space for authentic joy, even among the briars.
Developing our capacity for presence supports our ability to maintain emotional integrity, moral courage, and attunement. These skills are what we need to:
move more deeply into personal healing or inquiry
stay in relationship when in conflicts with loved ones
investigate social strife
resolve professional and economic struggles.
These skills are the foundation we need to support sustainable solutions and see real change.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this workshop is to give participants an embodied understanding of how presence supports resilience and our ability to maintain clarity under stress. Lack of presence with ourselves, each other, and Earth is a foundational issue that enables violence and oppression. This workshop will model how presence is supported by 10 elements and how when we practice these together we can create space for more creative, authentic, and sustainable solutions for social wellbeing.
